In addressing this issue in Part 1 of this writeup, it has been submitted that OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, suffered without the gate in order to SHED HIS BLOOD for our SANCTIFICATION (Hebrews 13:12). It was pointed out that holiness and holy living becomes extraordinarily easy for those who have been BORN AGAIN and also DISCIPLED by OUR LORD. Essentially, therefore, if someone is still having some misconceptions in his mind concerning the CENTRALITY of this issue in his Christian Life, it can only be that he/she has accepted the salvation of OUR LORD without accepting HIS LORDSHIP. In other words, he has been saved from his SIN and the PENALTY thereof but refuses to be ABSOLUTELY OBEDIENT to the commandments of the ONE who paid the PRICE for the salvation. Yet, obedience to all the commandments of the LORD is a necessity for letting HIM know that you love HIM! This matter becomes germane if consideration is taken of the fact that, in today’s Pentecostal circle, it appears that HOLINESS and PROSPERITY are two polar regions such that denominations SPECIALIZE in one to the exclusion of the other. Hence, you hear appellation such as HOLINESS preacher, PROSPERITY preacher, MOTIVATIONAL preacher and so on. However, what must be understood is that HOLINESS and HOLY LIVING is CENTRAL to TRUE PROSPERITY. The power to get WEALTH is from HIM that commands you to be HOLY as HE IS HOLY! (Deuteronomy 8:18; Proverbs 8:18; 1Peter 1:15-16; IIIJohn 2). The foregoing is a pointer to the fact that holiness and holy living are necessary for GODLY accumulation of wealth, its enjoyment here on earth and ETERNAL LIVING with the God of holiness and prosperity! (Psalm 15:1-3; Isaiah 33:14-16). Shalom.
