l start by saying that my Lord and my Saviour wishes His followers the best this life has to offer. In fact, if you dig deep in the Bible, you will not only have your needs met but will also have extra to share. However, when a supposed DISCIPLE of the Lord feels he is only living for acquisition of material things, such a peson needs to be pitied. And this brings one to one of the observations of my Lord as recorded in the Gospel according to Saint Luke in the twelfth chapter. The fifteenth verse actually warns against COVETOUSNESS because a man’s life does not consist in the ABUNDANCE OF MATERIAL THINGS he accumulates. He corroborated His WORD by giving the example of the RICH FOOL whose state of mind is only centred on how FAT HIS BANK ACCOUNT is! It needs to be understood that we have brought nothing into this world and no one is going to take a dime out of this place. The RICH FOOL in JESUS’ teaching died without taking anything out of the EXPANDED BARN! Of importance in this connection is what is going on in technologically advanced countries including CHINA. There is enough revelation to indicate that, for most people, the issue of concern NOW is how to be prevented from the scourge of CORONA VIRUS rather than what becomes of their houses in the choicest areas of their cities! At home here in Nigeria, the running around we are witnessing has something to do with what will become of those landed properties in Banana Island, Apo Legislature quarters and Enugu Independence Layout! And the preachers of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ has a lot to learn from the ongoing events. When Brother Benny Hinn told the whole world that he was doing away with RICE AND BEANS Gospel, I am sure he did not know that CORONA PANDEMIC was in the offing. Les’s go bacjt to the OLD LANDMARK. Brethren, the end is IMMINENT. Let’s emphasize the KINGDOM OF GOD in our teachings FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD is not in MEAT and DRINK; but RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE and JOY in the HOLY GHOST. Shalom.
