The ongoing stay-at-home order as one of the preventive measures against the dreaded CORONA VIRUS DiSEASE-19 has once again brought to the fore the hypocrisy of some leaders in the PENTECOSTAL CIRCLE regarding their overemphasis on the MUNDANE THINGS of this world and the need for the followers of our LORD and SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST, to live only for them. When Apostle Paul was commenting on the issue many centuries ago, he noted with WEEPING, the tendencies of the people he called THE ENEMIES OF THE CROSS OF CHRIST… Whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, WHO MIND EARTHLY THINGS! Earlier on, our Lord and Saviour, who SACRIFICED HIMSELF on the Cross of Calvary, had told the YOUNG RICH RULER, in unmistakable terms, to go and sell all his possessions, distribute them to the poor, in order to follow HIM without any DISTRACTION! It is in the light of the foregoing that one is at a loss understanding the rationale behind telling the MEMBERS OF YOUR CHURCH to come to the SANCTUARY, first thing SUNDAY MORNING, to drop their TITHES AND OFFERINGS and then go back to their houses in obedience to the GOVERNMENTAL DIRECTIVES! I received in one of my WhatsApp messages the case of a DENOMINATION that directed members to pay tithes and offerings ONLINE!!! Which type of impression are you giving the people that JESUS CHRIST died for? Have you been to the Calvary yourself? Is the gospel of JESUS CHRIST for sale in your denomination? Can’t you spare the ignorant people you are leading the BURDEN you impose on them for the few weeks of shutdowns? What is more important: the SOULS of those people or the SENSELESS ACCUMULATION OF VANITIES? The KINGDOM OF GOD is not MEAT and DRINK, but RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE and JOY in the HOLY GHOST (Romans 14:17). Why are we behaving like this in Africa? There was this case of a Nigerian preacher in the United Kingdom (UK) whose licence was seized for SIX MONTHS for using the money collected from the members to purchase an EXOTIC CAR. He was reminded that he was licensed to engage in the WORK of CHARITY! Are you really expecting the SECOND COMING of JESUS CHRIST? I think I hear you say that you have deceived your congregation for TOO LONG that it will be difficult to make a ROUNDABOUT TURN? You did not hear what Brother BENNY HINN did in front of his congregation last year? Your REPUTATION is more important than spending ETERNITY with the Almighty GOD in heaven?
