If you are a regular visitor to Akure (Ondo State Capital), you will not but attest to the relative peace of the ancient town. However, this tranquility was actually disturbed by irate youths on Wednesday 18th December 2019 when they thronged the popular OSINLE STREET in the town where a so-called church and about an half a dozen cars were burnt into ashes. This properties were said to belong to one Mr. Alfa Babatunde who claims to be the GENERAL (what?) of the church. Investigations revealed that the disturbance resulted from the mysterious disappearance of a one-year-old boy from the children’s church when the GENERAL commanded everyone to close their eyes during a prayer session! The congregation could not but obey the ORDER of the GENERAL because, according to the members of the congregation, whosoever DISOBEYED the order WOULD NOT LIVE TO SEE THE END OF DECEMBER 2019! In fact, many people attested to the fact that this type of CURSE was not unusual from lips of General Alfa Babatunde. The event, people said, occurred sometimes in November 2019. The search actually started and the corpse of the young boy was said to have been buried on the PULPIT of the church. An attempt to cover the matter up in order to free the GENERAL from the Department of State Security officials infuriated the youths who took the laws into their hands. While the whole matter is pathetic having regards to the fact that the boy was the only child of the mother who delivered him through Ceasarea Section, the matter goes on to show the danger of concentrating on RICE AND BEANS gospel instead of the one given to us (the disciples) by our Lord Jesus Christ. What we are told to seek FIRST is the KINGDOM OF GOD and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS (Matthew 6:33) and not RICE and BEAN. It is instructive to note that Alfa Babatunde is still in his YOUTHFUL YEARS and his accumulated tendencies could have been learnt from the SATANIC GENERALS who have now flooded the PENTECOSTAL CIRCLES.
